Creating paintings through a nature-derived process. Each artwork begins outdoors: often up a mountain or lake-side. Movements of birds’ flight are recorded in the form of lines and carefully transcribed onto canvas once back in the studio. Charlotte’s paintings consist entirely of captured moments from the Lake District. New data is gathered for each painting, with no line ever repeated. Upon completion, the artwork is taken back outdoors, encompassing the origin of Charlotte’s artistic practise: appreciation of our natural landscape.
